Today I added to a big doodle I started last night, using tips from the doodling discussion here. I really like it! I also worked on some writing.

I was ceative today I made Sweet Potatoe Chips (fries) for the first time the family loved them then I tidied my studio space so I can be really creative tomorrow!

Today I started a short story that I've been putting off for weeks now. It feels a bit shaky...as if my writing brain has atrophied somewhat, but it also feels GREAT to have begun. Wish me luck!

Um, it's for an online publication called StoryQuarterly. They requested love stories. Deadline March 31st...so I'll have to get hopping!

a friend wants a hanging tile so l have just finished this, it needs some nicer ribbon which l will buy when in town next. l like the red tones and a bit of glitter.

Today was a storm day (although we had no storm!). I was very virtuous and caught up on some overdue commitments, and then I transformed three photos in Photoshop. Did I learn anything? I'm not sure, unless it was "if something doesn't work the way you expect, try again!"

Being a Gemini I have 100 projects going.... I just finished up several sunface cards, five of them are shown in the pic below:

I am also finishing up 2 multimedia fiber and paper collages for Collage ManiaII, a fundraiser Virginia Spiegel is doing online to raise money for Cancer research.

On top of this I am working on making paper beads and playing with techniques, and materials. I actually decided to paint my own paper to make the beads from, I'll post some pics when I get past the creating paper stage of it. The last batch of paper today I finger painted.... it was rather organic and therapeutic.

I have a wild art doll in the works for Jill Smith's Yahoo group, and I fine tuned the 13x13 sunface applique for a mini quilt yahoo group that I did a rough draft for yesterday. And I am playing with painting on fabric with acrylics to make fiber art cards and hand painted art purses.

I cannot ever explain how great it feels to have time for all this, the last 7 years I have been working 87+ hour work weeks and I just cut that in half starting this week.... having time and energy to create art again is better than ice cream or chocolate!

Beautiful! I see what you mean about brightening up a sunless environment. They are spirit-lifting! I look forward to seeing all that you've described. How happy that you have time to do all this now. Yay!

Today I worked on my short story NetWorld. This is it's fourth revision and it's close. But, I have to cut cut cut and it's hard hard hard. I had it down by about 300 words until I realized that there were issues I hadn't fully explained. Now I'm only down by 100 or so. Still work to be done but it's good to be at it again.

Today l finished this tile, it is an Ovissi print which is nice and colourful, have a few more tiles to make, they seem to be quite popular with my family and friends and l do enjoy making them.

This has holes in the top to make a wall hanging.
