Profile Information
About Me:
I am a quilter who also writes light verse, mainly on quilty subjects. I've been doing this for 12 years and did publish a small volume of the verses in 1996. Since then my verses have popped up of various web sites as well as in the archives of my quilt lists as well as a number of quilt guild newsletters. One of my verses, 'Touch Not the Quilt' is posted at the Dairy Barn in Ohio and will also be posted at the Quilt Inc. shows -- Chicago, Houston and San Diego.
I have had some of my verses in several quilt magazines and have collaborated with a noted quilter on a book -- her quilts, my verses --for which we are still trying to find a publisher.
I am retired as of 4 1/2 years ago, have a husband (56 years in June!) and four cats.
I lived for many years in Europe -- Italy and Germany and return to Germany from time to time.
Creative Interests
Quilting (many aspects!), computer time to keep up with the lists to which I belong, writing verse when the Muse insists and contemplating all the interesting crafts I haven't tried yet.
Other Interests
Reading -- mainly light stuff. Currently mysteries and fantasy. Also a number of quilt magazines. Actually almost anything with print!
Relationship Status:
Married since 1952 -- to the same man
What else?
Probably because of my years working in libraries I like to look things up -- and love and use Google a lot. I also utilize my unabridged Webster's (not the newest edition) which I affectionately refer to as Danny Boy.
