I am starting to get burned out with painting. I don't want to...but have more failure than success. It's so frustrating to be able to draw anything I want to from my head but painting and color leave me in that state of "I don't know what to do next".
I am working on my illustration career and while there are pencil illustrators, jobs would be limited... my rep says I really need to get the color down.

Three essential books

• Frank Herbert's Dune series. (Well that's uhm, 6 I think, actual books - but it's the same story and you can't just read one, like potato chips, though not....truly not junk food, onion? never mind)
