Profile Information

About Me:
Born in London I've lived in Wales, U.K. for many years. It really is a beautiful part of the world - check out my photos if you don't believe me!

I can write BA (Hons) after my name now as I passed a Degree in Fine Art earlier this year! I wrote my dissertation (thesis) on why it is so difficult to become a successful female artist!

I have an older husband (lucky me) and two children in their teens (lucky them).
Creative Interests
Craft and creativity have always been part of my life. I love to share ideas and try new things. I've joined the fiber art and the photography group on here so you can tell what attracts my attention!
Other Interests
I read fiction very fast, especially anything by Jodi Picoult. When I am not online, reading or studying, I watch videos and DVDs. I only watch one programme on T.V. and that's Dr Who.
My favourite films are Twilight, Bladerunner, The Matrix, Pretty Woman and Pride & Prejudice.
Relationship Status:
Married
What else?
Thanks for sharing this with me!

On being practically creative...

Hi

I've neglected my webpage and noone reminded me to log in.

My news is that I passed my Fine Art Degree in the end!

The Certificate arrived to confirm the good news and that's brilliant!

In September I surprised myself and began a one day a week course in horticulture. It is held at a huge botanical g

Is it Summer yet?

Hey Guys and Gals!

Thanks for all your lovely messages of support after the disappointment I had that my Fine Art Degree marks were referred. I did gain a First for my dissertation which is something to make me very proud!

I had feedback (in Fine Art jargon) that my research and development notes were not up to their standards and I can re-submit my sketchbooks in September if I want them to reconsider my grade. I must admit that my confidence has taken a beating and if I am to eat humble pie… Continue

My final week in University...?

Let me introduce you to an important part of my life in Uni, Virginia.

In case you're reading this and wondering if I am totally deranged: the answer is probably yes!

I ventured into the theme of regaining a reputation for innocence. If someone loses their good reputation is it po… Continue

On a bright and sunny February day...

Yesterday was my birthday... I was woken early with a text message from a beloved friend so I couldn't moan... she loves me too! I am not sure that I really woke up the rest of the day though.

I had a morning appointment assessment for my university artwork with a complete stranger… Continue

Connie... you are not alone or invisible!

I'm sure that the letting off steam is only a temporary feeling of relief when we feel unappreciated. Such aggrievations in life are just... well you know, the ultimate frustration. Let me share last week's horoscope for me and hope that we all think about it and take heed!

Have you noticed how people talk, patronisingly about 'dreamers'? The implication is that people with fanciful ideas are, somehow, second-class citizens. The 'grown-up world' it seems, persecutes such people and takes deligh… Continue

Mandi, I'm commenting back for Suze bc I know she's without electricity and any other modern conveniences right now. She is in the Texas Gulf Coast region that was hit by hurricane Ike last weekend. Things are pretty sad there but she and her husband and our mom and my husband's families are all fine with little damage to their homes. For that we are grateful!

Hi Everyone

I can't find the box for the blog thing now that I deleted a load of out of date waffle!

Rachel's busy, Heather doesn't write anymore and I am finding it difficult to remember to check into this website without the regular bulletins we used to get!

I love this website... can we revive it?
