I live in New Orleans and in the 70s my mother took me to see the King Tut exhibit at the New Orleans Museum of Art on Lelong Drive. You are one of the few people on the web that mention seeing the exhibit. Wasn't it great! The blue street, the blue lazer beam shining down Esplanade Avenue from the Museum of Art to Broad Street (approx. 1 mile). And, yes, Suze -- it was very cold and exciting. All those people; me and my mother, waiting to see "King Tut" (you could have been there that day!). I am trying to create a scrapbook of memories and I would love to have some pictures from that exhibit at the NO Museum. Do you have any that you can post? Can I purchase? Please reply. Thanks.

One of my lists once had a fun thread where we gave ourselves titles which reflected who and how we were. I dubbed myself the Duchess of Delay....

My most recent quilty effort have been to make some more Cat Mats from some of my strip scraps. These are smallish (about 24x24" or less) quilts that I place where the cats like to nap, esp. my quilts in progress and piles of fabrics! I gathered them up today to wash and couldn't believe all the fluff and hair the cats had left on them! There's enough fluff in my wastebasket to make a small kitten!

It's Beeeeen a While

Helly damn. Sorry to cuss, but it's just so hard to keep up. I have neglected this beautiful site for so very long. A lot of water has gone under the bridge. Strike it up to...Life Happening, Coupled with a Procrastinator's Heart...and there you have it.

Bits and Pieces

I'm working on some mosaic pieces. It seems I can't just work on one at a time; I have to do at least two pieces at a time. I'm not sure why, but it doesn't matter. My mantra is always that if I'm working on ANYthing, it's better than working on absolutely nothing. I already have lots of tiles because I did a bench top for an auction a few years ago and there were lots of leftovers. But I found myself buying a few more (thousand) bits and pieces anyway!
