About Me:: I moved to Florida from Maryland 18 months ago (2006) and I love the warm weather and the ocean. I miss my Maryland garden and I'm spending quite a bit of time learning how to grow a colorful garden in Florida (it's not easy!).

I "retired" at age 55 from a career as a program manager at a federal biomedical research agency. I'm enjoying the freedom I now have to explore life in new ways.

My goals for this year are to move outside my comfort zone by entering my work in shows away from the local area... and to take a watercolor class at the university.

Creative Interests: I'm a fiber artist. I love colorful commercial fabrics and my own hand-dyed fabrics. I enjoy using photo transparencies and photo transfers but feel I've only scratched the surface of what can be done with Photoshop Elements.

Recently I've had a considerable amount of fun with paper collage - making lots of silly things with photos of my grandchildren. They love it and so do I.

Other Interests: I enjoy reading, biking, knitting, and sewing for my home and my closet. However, despite being "retired" I find that 24 hours in each day is not nearly enough time to do all I wish!

Relationship Status:: single, mother of 3 adult children and grandmother to 6 boys and 1 girl.
